Regrettably the following errors occurred in the printing of Listening to Clay: Conversations with Contemporary Japanese Ceramic Artists, and have been corrected as follows:

P. 125, line three in the second paragraph should read: A professor objected, saying, “A shoe can’t be on the same level as vessels that touch people’s lips. A shoe must be on the floor.”

p. 305, paragraph five, the website rankings of Japan’s “Top 20 Living Ceramists” and the related quote beginning “Without an inkling of objective criteria for analysis and standardization…” should be credited to Aoyama Wahei.
