RISD/NY invites you to join them at the Cooper Hewitt for “Sense of Hand: Panel Discussion and Book Signing,” with Stephen Talasnik. This special event is in celebration of the publication of Talasnik’s new book, Unearthed | Stephen Talasnik: Drawings, Sculpture, Installations, which will be available at SHOP Cooper Hewitt and can be signed following the discussion.
The panel will address the relevance of drawing by hand across all disciplines in art and design, as well as tangential aspects of drawing that complete an idea – everything from intimacy to smell to tactility. Stephen Talasnik will be joined by panelists Annie Kwon, Senior Associate at SHoP Architects, and Joanne Stryker, Dean of Experimental + Foundation Studies at the Rhode Island School of Design, along with moderator Julie Burstein, best-selling author of Spark: How Creativity Works.
