classical principles for modern design - The Monacelli Press

Known as the most important design event of the year, Legends draws “thousands of influencers, enthusiasts, top design editors, and purveyors of design from across the U.S. and from around the world to the LCDQ for three days of keynotes, open houses, discussions, book signings, exhibitions, social events and networking.” Thomas Jayne has in recent years made the pilgrimage, often participating in a few panels along the way. This year he is pleased to be part of two, the first, being held at Christopher Farr’s showroom, is titled “Navigating the Book Publishing World,” and will bring a few seasoned authors together to share some of the risks and benefits of undertaking such a project. Annie Kelly, prolific author herself, will moderate. The second, sponsored by 1stdibs and hosted by Tony Freund, editor of 1stdib’s Introspective magazine, is titled “Clutter can be Cool,” which will take an alternative view to the current Marie Kondo organizing craze.

“Navigating the Book Publishing World” will be held on Wednesday, May 8th at 2pm at Christopher Farr and “Clutter can be Cool” at 10am on Thursday, May 9th at Dragonette. To RSVP, subscribe at the General or VIP levels on the Legends site and then select the events as part of your registration.
